Beaches

Lleiniog beach is the closest to the cottage. It's a 20 minute walk. It is a pebble beach.

Lligwy , a lovely long sandy beach is a 35 minute drive away. There's a great cliff walk towards the small village of Moelfre where there's a nice pub too.

White Beach. Beautiful and secluded due to a narrow lane and very very limited parking above it so best to walk, it's about 40 minutes from the cottage

Porth Wen is consistently voted the best and most beautiful beach on Anglesey. It's a 45 minute drive away.

Red Wharf Bay is a 25 minute drive and home of the lovely Ship Inn for reasonably priced good quality 'pub grub' and cask ales.

Rhoscolyn is 45 minutes away. Another beautiful sandy beach popular with surf boarders and sailors. Nearby is the White Eagle. Very busy during the spring and summer months. Reasonably priced good quality food and cask ales.

Newborough - 45 minutes away. Possibly the most popular beach on the island. Access is via a payment booth. Fantastic for swimming, sand castles and long walks. DOGS are not allowed on the longer more interesting stretch of the beach during the Spring and Summer months.

The island has many more small villages and towns close to beaches including Church Bay, Cemaes Bay and Amlwch
